HADASSAH ARISE | WEEK 22
JONAH: MERCY, OBEDIENCE & PURPOSE
This week’s lesson centered on the story of Jonah and the powerful reminder that God’s mercy often comes in the form of redirection. Jonah’s attempt to run from God’s assignment showed us that we can never escape God’s presence or His purpose for our lives. We discussed how the storms and resistance we encounter are not always attacks from the enemy but can be God’s way of guiding us back to His will. The teaching challenged us to examine our hearts, identify areas of delay or disobedience, and recognize that delayed obedience is still disobedience. We were encouraged to trust God’s plan, surrender our own desires, and respond promptly to His instructions, knowing that His mercy is always working to align us with our divine purpose.
