A SURRENDERED HEART
The Psalms remind us that God meets us in every season of life. This week, we were challenged to move beyond behavior change and allow God to transform our hearts. David’s prayer in Psalm 51, “Create in me a clean heart, O God,” reminds us that conviction is not punishment—it is God’s loving call to restoration. We were encouraged to examine what we are consuming, what influences we allow into our lives, and whether anything has taken God’s place in our hearts. Psalm 1 showed us that every day we choose a path—the way of God or the way of self—and that not every voice deserves access to our spirit. As we go through this week, may we choose obedience, embrace the process of transformation, and continually surrender our hearts to God.
